The Cross and Transformation

The cross of Hope at the Beach is a symbol of our new life in Christ:

Our cross tells a story…

Assembled out of old, ordinary and discarded objects it is a reminder that in Christ we are a new creation.
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!  2 Corinthians 5:17

We are a group of forgiven ones, broken and forgotten, but healed and made whole by Christ. We love to gather and worship this living One in our homes and also at the beach.

We sing, we study God’s Word, we share our hearts and offer our prayers to the One who loves us unconditionally – without measure.
He has thrown our sins into the depths of the sea and filled us with HOPE.

In Him we learn to love our neighbors as ourselves and patiently listen to, wait on, and follow His voice. As the surfer waits for the next set, the past sets are forgotten. Hope is found in the power of this new wave. So we wait on the Lord and invite you to…

“Go in peace…surf the Lord”

The Hope at the Beach cross was designed and created by San Diego artist, Susan Osborn.
