In Memory of Philip White

Nothing Can Ever Separate Us*

Philip White was the victim of a hit-and-run accident while riding his bicycle in Oceanside, CA on Sunday, September 21, 2014.  He was 28 years old.  The world lost a creative, intelligent, and gentle soul who will be deeply missed by friends and family.  Philip is survived by his parents, David and Nancy White, sister and brother-in-law, Mandy and Aaron Steiner, grandfather, Milton White, and countless others who loved and cared for him. Philip White, was an active part of Hope at the Beach in its initial year, always serving, helping his Uncle Chuck and Aunt Lin in set up and clean up, handing out flyers, cooking their meals, fixing their computers. Many of you may remember him working with the Mike’s and the kids during the summer surf camp of 2009. The photo above is when he rededicated his life to Christ. A memorial service was held for Philip at Grace Episcopal Church in San Marcos on October 18. On October 19 his ashes were dispersed at sea with his family present.

*Nothing Can Ever Separate Us was sung by the family at sea.
